Welcome to the Lakeland Pilates website.

My name is Cindy Clarke and I am a qualified Body Control Pilates teacher offering group classes and individual sessions in the South Lakes area.

Classes are available in Kendal, Windermere, Kirkby Lonsdale and Grange over Sands. Individual sessions are taught in Kendal.

What is Body Control Pilates?

Body Control Pilates is a body conditioning method that works in a
different way from other fitness techniques. Targeting the deep
postural muscles, Pilates works by building strength from the inside
out, rebalancing the muscles and bringing the body into correct
alignment. It helps to reshape your body, encouraging a longer,
leaner, more toned physique. It will help improve your posture,
strength and flexibility and is a great way to relieve unwanted stress
and tension.

Pilates exercises are slow and controlled. The core of the method is
'awareness of your own body'. Pilates is suitable for everyone whether
new to exercise or an Olympic athlete. Medical specialists for those
with back problems also recommend it.
